Inter director Marco Branca has revealed that negotiations over Nicolas Burdisso with Roma have come to a halt recently. The Giallorossi snapped up the player's younger brother, Guillermo, on Tuesday and the Nerazzurri defender's move remains in doubt.
"I don't know if the situation will change before or after the Super Cup [on August 21]," he explained to LaRoma24.it.
"What I know is that right now there is no negotiation. Today, we can say that there is no deal. Roma have actually postponed talks over these last two weeks. That doesn't change much - we are tranquil."
Roma were apparently unwilling to meet Inter's asking price for the 29-year-old. Recent reports from the peninsula have suggested that both Napoli and Juventus are hoping to hijack the move for the Argentine, who impressed on loan at the Stadio Olimpico last season.
