Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has revealed that he will start with a three-man attack when the Squadra Azzurra take on Ivory Coast in Tuesday's international friendly. Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano, Inter's Mario Balotelli and Juventus forward Amauri will start up front for Italy.
"There are still some question marks, but we will start with a Balotelli-Cassano-Amauri trident attack against Ivory Coast. The idea is to find a module that can give us continuity," Prandelli was quoted as saying by reporters.
Furthermore, Prandelli is expected to start the game against Cote D'Ivoire with a four-man defence of Marco Motta, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Cristian Molinaro.
Angelo Palombo and Daniele De Rossi will probably start the match as holding midfielders, while Simone Pepe could start the match on the right wing.
It was revealed earlier today that Cassano will be wearing the number 10 jersey on his comeback to Italy's national side, while Balotelli will be the Azzurri's number nine. Amauri will be donning the number 21 jersey when Italy take on the Elephants.
