As Cesare Prandelli’s Italy came together for their first full training session at Coverciano this afternoon, the Azzurri tactician wasted no time in demonstrating his ideas by putting the Cassano-Balotelli-Amauri trident together.
According to reports from RaiSport, the trio featured on the same side in a 4-3-2-1 formation. Juventus hitman Amauri was placed as the frontman, while Mario Balotelli and Antonio Cassano sat behind him on the left and right respectively.
The trio were backed up by the midfield trio of Simone Pepe, Daniele De Rossi and Angelo Palombo.
At the back new Juventus signing Marco Motta was placed alongside Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Cristian Molinaro.
The game against the Ivory Coast in London on Tuesday will be Prandelli's first game in charge of the Azzurri.
