Official: Chievo Verona Sign Mariano Bogliacino From Napoli

The South American will be plying his trade for another Serie A club this season...
Chievo Verona have added midfielder Mariano Bogliacino from Napoli to their squad, the club's official website confirmed on Thursday.

The Uruguayan will initially join the club on loan, but the Flying Donkeys have the option to purchase the player outright when the deal expires at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.

"Chievo Verona announces it has acquired Mariano Adrian Bogliacino on a temporary basis with a right of redemption. The 20-year-old has played the last five season in Naples, collecting a total of 139 appearances and scoring 17 goals," read the statement.

Bogliacino is likely to slot into the starting XI in coach Stefano Pilo's line-up, despite finding it difficult to break into the Napoli team over the last couple of seasons, often appearing as a substitute.
