Andrea Ranocchia Is Officially Co-Owned By Inter - Genoa Sporting Director

The towering player is part Nerazzurri, but will stay in Liguria for the time being...
Genoa sporting director Stefano Capozucca has told the press that the club have agreed a co-ownership deal with champions Inter for Andrea Ranocchia.

However, the 6'5". defender will definitely remain with the Grifoni for the 2010-11.

"The transition in [co]ownership to Inter is official, but he will stay remain with Genoa this season," he revealed to fcinter1908.it.

The centre-back has spent the last two seasons on loan with Bari and was very impressive before succumbing to a knee injury last season in January. His efforts helped the Galletti to one of the best defensive records in Serie A at that point and he was reportedly being considered for a call-up to Italy's World Cup squad.

The move is a blow for Bari, who were hoping to secure the player on loan again after losing Leonardo Bonucci to Juventus earlier in the summer.
