Inter Keeping Tabs On Ajax Star Gregory Van Der Wiel - Report

The Dutch international has supposedly attracted the interest of Inter...
Reigning Italian champions Inter are considering making a move for Ajax defender and Dutch international Gregory van der Wiel in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report in Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are in the market for a new right-back due to the expected departure of Maicon to Real Madrid and new Inter coach Rafa Benitez supposedly sees Van der Wiel as the perfect replacement.

The 22-year-old defender is a product of the Ajax youth academy and has made 76 league appearances for the Amsterdam side so far, scoring eight goals in the process. Additionally, Van der Wiel has made several international appearances for Netherlands.

Van der Wiel's superb performances this term haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere and several big clubs are keeping tabs on the right-back. Inter reportedly face stiff competition from clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
