Inter Will Clarify Nicolas Burdisso's Future This Week - Agent

Nicolas Burdisso had an incredible season on loan at Roma in 2009-10, but his future remains undecided as he is owned by their Serie A rivals Inter.

The Argentina international was expected to be a substitute upon arriving at the Stadio Olimpico, but quickly became a fixture in central defence under coach Claudio Ranieri, relegating Philippe Mexes to the bench.

His loan deal has now expired, but the Giallorossi are keen to hold on to the 29-year-old.

"[Inter director Gabriele] Oriali called me to talk about [Diego] Milito and we took the opportunity to also discuss Burdisso," Fernando Hidalgo told Sky Sport 24.

"I will see [Inter] this week. I can reveal there are no problems regarding Milito, but for Nicolas we must listen to the club's intentions for him next season."

Nerazzurri centre-back Walter Samuel recently suggested that Burdisso should remain in Rome, after becoming a fan favourite.
