A representative of Alberto Gilardino has told the press his client will not be leaving Fiorentina, insisting it is a closed case.
There was speculation the 27-year-old could leave the club after the departure of coach Cesare Prandelli.
"He has never questioned his commitment to Fiorentina," Beppe Bonetto explained to Golmania.
"He only said he's sorry about Prandelli [leaving], but right now he thinks about the World Cup and he'll think about the rest later. There is no connection to the problems affecting Fiorentina."
Juventus and Napoli have reportedly been considering a bid for the striker, who is ranked 40th in the Castrol Rankings, the second-best striker in Serie A.
"I don't know. I don't think the Viola will even consider such a matter. It doesn't pose any problems. His relationship with the club and the city has always been favourable," added the agent.
Meanwhile, it is expected former Catania boss Sinisa Mihajlovic will soon be announced as Prandelli's successor on the Tuscan bench.
"Mihajlovic? I don't know what the relationship with him will be like, but the Serbian behaves like a good coach," he concluded.
