Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has urged president Massimo Moratti to enforce transfer moves for England coach Fabio Capello, and Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard.
His comments come less than 24 hours after Nerazzurri patron Moratti said Capello was a strong candidate for the bench following the confirmed departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid - a move that will become official on Monday.
And the race is on for the Three Lions boss.
"I like Capello, he has won with Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The club has to find a new coach, but it cannot be just a normal coach after Mourinho. We need an important coach, like Capello.
"But I hope he has a bad tournament with England, I hope he doesn't win in South Africa."
Capello is not the only one on Nerazzurri lips, though. Cesar has taken it upon himself to try and shape the transfer market. He says Gerrard would be an essential signing, while urging the club to shackle Maicon.
"I would buy Gerrard straight away. He has class and power. He would be the right signing," he added.
"As for Maicon, I wouldn't allow him to leave for Real Madrid."
