England Boss Fabio Capello Is A Candidate To Be New Inter Coach - Massimo Moratti

Club looking for successor as Mourinho completes Madrid move...
England manager Fabio Capello is one of the candidates to succeed Jose Mourinho at Inter, according to club president Massimo Moratti.

With Real Madrid and the Italian club agreeing a deal on Friday to bring Mourinho to the Bernabeu as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor, Moratti is keen to secure a replacement as soon as possible.

While Capello himself has already distanced himself from the job by reiterating his commitment to England, Moratti insists that he is in the frame for the job.

"He is one of the candidates. But I have not made a decision,” Moratti told Gazetta TV.

"Should Mourinho leave, my duty is to find a coach that is serious and has experience, for example, in the Champions League.

"I think many coaches have a desire to collaborate with Inter."

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola and Zenit St Petersburg manager Luciano Spalletti have both been linked with the position, but Moratti doesn’t believe either would be willing to make the move to the San Siro.

“We thought about Guardiola,” he revealed.

"But he is very much linked with Barcelona and I don't think he will move for money.

"Spalletti did very well at Roma and he has done well in Russia.

"But I think Spalletti's intentions are to stay there,” he added.
