Inter Have Not Contacted Liverpool Boss Rafa Benitez - Report

Nerazzurri director Marco Branca denied reports that the club are lining up the Spaniard to replace Jose Mourinho...
Inter director Marco Branca has dismissed reports that the club have prepared a formal bid to bring in Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

Jose Mourinho has not revealed whether he will stay on with the club after the Champions League final against Bayern Munich on May 22, refusing to say one way or the other whether he will remain at San Siro.

'The Special One' has constantly been linked with the post at Real Madrid, after the Liga giants failed to pick up any silverware this season under coach Manuel Pellegrini.

Benitez had been suggested as a successor to the Portuguese boss with the Nerazzurri, but Branca has responded to the speculation.

Sky Sports reports that the director claimed there had been no contact with the Reds boss and simply stated "Mourinho is our coach."

Benitez's future at Anfield is also uncertain after a sub-par 2009-10 campaign, where Liverpool finished seventh in the standings.
