Christian Panucci has admitted he would be interested in a move to Fiorentina, if the Viola come calling.
The 37-year-old former Real Madrid and AC Milan full-back parted company with Parma earlier this season and is currently a free agent.
"They’re a great team and Florence is a fantastic city,” Panucci told Radio Toscana.
“I don’t want to advertise myself, but surely if an offer came in from the club I would have to seriously consider it.”
Two-time Champions League winner Panucci, capped 57 times for Italy, left Roma last year after seven years with the club to join Parma. However, things didn’t quite work out with this new club, who in Feburary of this year, agreed to cancel the full-back’s contract, citing ‘personal reasons’ as the reason for the revocation.
Despite reports suggesting a bust-up with coach Francesco Guidolin was the reason for his departure, Panucci categorically denies the allegations in a statement shortly after leaving the club.
