Inter Chase Palermo's Edinson Cavani - Report

Inter are trying to attract Palermo striker Edinson Cavani as they prepare to strengthen their attacking line-up even further, according to Tuttosport.

The Uruguayan hitman has a €23 million clause in his contract, but Inter director Marco Branca has already started working on trying to lower that figure.

He has been in contact with Cavani's agent Pierpaolo Triulzi to enquire as to the player's availability as his contract expires in 2011.

However, Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini has always claimed Cavani would not be sold on the cheap, though Abel Hernandez's development this term could persuade him to sell, especially if they miss out on the Champions League.

Inter are likely to lose Marko Arnautovic in the summer, and Cavani will take the striker's place.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Quaresma has been tipped to join Turkish side Besiktas.
