Inter are in no mood to unclench their fists for Sporting CP midfielder Miguel Veloso as they continue to chase him, according to Portuguese newspaper Record.
Inter have been tracking the 23-year-old since last season and it's no secret that Jose Mourinho is keen to lure him to San Siro. The coach is currently working on strategies to fortify his midfield ahead of next season and Veloso is top of his transfer list. And, Marco Branca, Nerazzurri transfer chief confirmed last month that the club are interested in Veloso. However, landing the Portuguese ace will be a battle less easily won at the negotiation table.
Sporting are eager for a straight swap deal for Ricardo Quaresma - something that does not interest the Nerazzurri.
Veloso is reportedly valued at around €10m, whereas Inter paid more than double that amount for Quaresma from Porto in 2008. Despite Quaresma's failure to settle in Serie A, Inter are unlikely to let him go on the cheap.
