Milan Lawyer Leandro Cantamessa: Inter Unlikely To Have 2006 Scudetto Revoked

Milan lawyer Leandro Cantamessa is highly sceptical of talk that Inter's 2006 Scudetto will be revoked if the Calciopoli sporting trial is re-opened.

Reports in Italy suggested the 2005-06 title that was stripped from Juventus and handed to Inter could be revoked following new evidence that has come to light at the current Calciopoli trial in Naples.

The Italian FA are set to review the case, but Cantamessa believes Inter are unlikely to lose that title.

"From a judicial point of view everything has been written," he told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"The question regarding the assignment of the Scudetto is not subject to certain rules, even though objectively the revocation is not probable.

"The assignment of 2006 was made at the discretion of the then commissioner Guido Rossi, who had the powers of the federal council. This is the scenario."
