Milan have rekindled their interest in Sao Paulo midfielder Hernanes as Leonardo begins to fortify his squad ahead of next season.
Goal.com Italia reports Leonardo is using a number of contacts in Brazil to spark a move into life. Hernanes is seen as the heir to Andrea Pirlo in midfield and the Rossoneri are keen not to let him slip from their clutches once again.
The Milanese giants had opened dialogue with the Brazilian outfit last year, but they felt the €15 million price tag was too steep.
Milan's spending policies have been curbed and Leonardo finds himself in a financial straitjacket, but the feeling is he will be able to get a bargain deal.
Meanwhile, Marco Storari has been tipped to return from his loan spell with Sampdoria at the end of the season.
