Manchester City Boss Roberto Mancini Leaves Door Open For Juventus Offer

‘Mancio’ hopes to tie the knot with the Old Lady one day…

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted he would jump at the opportunity to take charge of Serie A giants Juventus.

“Juve is always Juve,” the tactician told La Nazione newspaper.

“We are not talking about a bottom team of Italy or Europe. They are having some troubles at the moment, but we are still talking about a club that has history and prestige.”

Mancini had put his name forward to take over from Ciro Ferrara at the Olimpico before he was hired by the Citizens last December, but some eyebrows were raised among the Bianconeri faithful because of his past with bitter rivals Inter.

“I know I am seen as an enemy due to my stint at Inter,” mused the former Italy international.

“But I want to reiterate that my arguments in the past were personal and only concerned their directors.

“And it is true, I have never hidden it, even when I was at Inter I have said on more than one occasion that I used to support Juve as a child.”
