Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano is finally set to be handed a new deal by the Serie A club, which will keep him at the San Paolo until June 2015.
According to Radio Marte, the representative of the Uruguayan international, Pablo Betancour, is in Naples and will hold a meeting with Azzurri president Aurelio De Laurentiis today to hammer out the final details.
‘El Mota’ has reportedly agreed to commit to the Vesuviani for the next five seasons on wages of €1 million per year plus bonuses.
Gargano has been plying his trade in Serie A since Napoli signed him from Danubio in 2007 and is regarded as a key figure in Uruguay’s plans for the World Cup finals in South Africa this summer.
