Grosseto striker Mauricio Pinilla has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Italian champions Inter.
The 26-year-old is currently the leading goalscorer in Serie B and his efforts have grabbed plenty of column inches in Italy this season.
Pinilla arrived in the peninsula in 2003 when Inter signed him from Universidad Chile, but didn’t make a single appearance for the Nerazzurri.
After numerous spells at different clubs, he joined Grosseto on a free transfer last summer and has finally hit his stride.
There were reports last month that Fiorentina had already agreed terms with Grosseto to sign the hitman in the summer, but Pinilla insists he dreams of having a second chance at the San Siro.
“I can only thank [Inter president Massimo] Moratti because he brought me to Italy seven years ago,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
“Should I get another opportunity, I will give my all to grab it this time.
“It’s a dream for me to wear the Inter shirt. I feel I am mature enough to play for a big side and would like to repay the faith the Nerazzurri have shown in me in the past.”
