Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has reiterated his commitment to the Italian giants in the face of mounting speculation that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a summer bid to secure his services.
“No, thanks,” the Brazilian international is quoted as saying on Tuttosport newspaper.
“It’s a pleasure to be appreciated by a great coach, but I have only eyes for Juve. I’m just focused on doing well with Juve for the time being.”
Melo was given a hot reception from his former Fiorentina fans at the Franchi last night as Juventus won 2-1 to move into fourth place in Serie A.
But the 26-year-old seemed unfazed and wished the Tuscans well ahead of next week’s Champions League last 16 second leg tie with Bayern Munich.
“I think that Fiorentina had already switched their focus to Tuesday’s clash with Bayern,” Melo told Radio Blu.
“It will be tough, but I think that they have big chances of winning it.”
Fiorentina will look to reverse a 2-1 deficit at the Franchi after a hugely controversial defeat at the Allianz Arena last month.
