Andrea Ranocchia is being tracked by Inter, who will hold talks with Genoa in an attempt to buy the defender currently on loan at Bari.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims Inter want to buy him permanently at the end of the season and leave him to develop at Genoa until 2011, when they will call him back.
Ranocchia is currently recovering from a knee injury and is expected to return to his parent club once his loan deal in Bari expires. Inter will then table an offer and use the summer transfer window to negotiate a deal.
Meanwhile, reports in England suggest Manchester City are preparing a mega bid for Douglas Maicon. City have also been linked with striker Mario Ballotelli, and it is recognised that a €45 million bid for both players will tempt Inter.
