The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has crowned Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon as the best shot-stopper between 1987 and 2009.

Buffon accumulated 87 points to edge out Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas (73 points) and former Manchester United custodian Peter Schmeichel (69 points), according to ANSA.

Walter Zenga (7th) and Francesco Toldo (20th) also made the Top 20.

The Bianconeri currently sit in fifth spot, and will take on third-placed Roma this weekend.
