The agent of Inter defensive pair Davide Santon and Marco Materazzi has reiterated that both his clients are likely to stay with the club until at least the end of the season.
Santon is said to be unhappy with his lack of playing time and press reports have claimed the Nerazzurri might use him as a bargaining chip to sign Lazio wing-back Aleksandar Kolarov.
But agent Renzo Contratto told FcInterNews.it this morning: “There is no truth at all in it.
“There have never been any negotiations between Inter and Lazio for Santon and I think the possibilities of Davide leaving Inter are very close to zero.
“With [Cristian] Chivu sidelined, there could be more chances for him to play. We’ll see what happens.”
Materazzi is also on the fringes of Jose Mourinho’s squad and has been linked with Greek outfit Panathinaikos in recent days.
“They did show an interest, but nothing more,” revealed Contratto.
“We didn’t start any negotiations. Marco is currently nursing an injury and we must see how it turns out.
“But there is also zero chance of him leaving and I think he will stay in Milan.”
