Milan Close In On Palermo's Fabio Simplicio - Report

The Rossoneri have designed a plan to lure the Brazilian...
Milan are closing in on Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio as they devise transfer policies for January.

According to Tuttosport, director Ariedo Braida has been observing the Brazilian and he is hoping to open up a dialogue with the Rosanero this weekend when Milan welcome them to the San Siro.

Simplicio has yet to extend his deal, which expires in 2010, with Palermo -  fuelling speculation that he may be looking to join another side.

The report claims the Rossoneri will double his €700,000 per year wages and offer him a three-season package - something which is likely to tempt Simplicio.

However, capital city pair Roma and Lazio are also keen to land the Brazilian, so Milan must make their move swiftly.

Despite the report, Milan vice president Adriano Galliani recently suggested that there would be a squeeze on spending at the club this winter.
