Juventus Continue To Monitor Valencia Defender Miguel - Report

Ferrara is keen to bolster his squad in the wake of Champions League disappointment, and he is ready to turn to an experienced Portugal international...
Juventus are tracking Valencia defender Miguel, who is expected to leave the club in January.

Tuttosport claims Miguel has raised eyebrows in Turin. Juve have been following the Portuguese stopper for some time and they were close to him in the summer.

He is now back on the horizon as coach Ciro Ferrara gets ready to bolster his defence during the transfer window. The 2-0 loss to Bordeaux in the Champions League on Wednesday has not gone down well at Vinovo, and voices suggest new players may come in.

It is understood that Miguel has fallen out with coach Unai Emery at the Mestalla. Local media in Spain have claimed a squabble took place between coach and player. His contract expires in 2012, but there have been no indications that he is certain to remain there.

The player's agent, Paulo Barbosa, has hinted the former Benfica man could leave in January. Fiorentina have also been linked with the player.

Despite the report, neither Juventus nor the Viola have made an official comment.
