Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has expressed his satisfaction, not only for the positive results which are coming the clubs way, but also for the way the supporters have behaved themselves of late.
Zamparini was prompted to make these comments following the surprisingly sour words of England national team coach Fabio Capello, who stated that football in Italy is dominated by violent Ultras.
"I'm proud of my Palermo fans," declared the Sicilian side's president to skysport24.
"Since I took over the Rosanero club, there have been no violent episodes and they have always applauded the team, even when defeated."
In the meantime, Palermo are enjoying a run of excellent form and have climbed up to the fourth place in the standings, alongside Fiorentina and Milan.
The Rosanero will be able to further test their credentials on Thursday when they visit Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
