Parma general director Pietro Leonardi has hailed the club's start to the new season. The Ducali are in fifth place in Serie A with 14 points from eight matches.
"At this stage we have collected more [points] that we had even hoped," he said to Radio Kiss Kiss on Tuesday.
"The experience gained in Serie B has resulted in enthusiasm, humility and a willingness to sacrifice. The lads are the reason for the excellent results achieved thus far."
Leonardi believes that the Gialloblu have all the pieces in place to continue to have a successful campaign and build on the 2009-10 season in the future.
"[Tommaso] Ghirardi is an enthusiastic president. I have so much respect for him and his family. My intention is to make them and all the fans happy," he concluded.
Parma defeated Siena 1-0 this past weekend and next face Atalanta on Sunday.
