Alberto Zaccheroni: Roma Are As Strong As Inter, Milan And Juventus

The Giallorossi could end up in the top places by the end of this season, according to Zaccheroni.
Former Inter and Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni believes that, despite their poor start to the season, Roma have an excellent team and are on the same level as the 'big three' Italian clubs.

According to Zaccheroni, the Giallorossi can compete with Italy's top teams for the first places in Serie A. He feels Roma's current situation is mainly attributable to their having so many players out injured.

"To make evaluations we must first wait until Roma are complete," commented the currently unemployed coach to Radio Incontro.

"Right now, with many players injured, it would be hasty to make any prediction. However, I can affirm that Roma's squad is excellent and can easily fight for the top places in the standings.

"In my opinion, the Giallorossi's midfield is of a high level, maybe the best in Italy, and it's with the players you have in midfield that you can measure the strength of a team."

The 56-year-old mentor's last team was Torino back in 2007, before he was sacked by president Urbano Cairo following a string of negative results.
