Livorno Sign Inter Defender Nelson Rivas - Report

The South American defender will be of use to coach Gennaro Ruotolo...
Livorno have added some depth to their squad before the end of the transfer window by signing defender Nelson Rivas from Inter and midfielder Mozart from Palmeiras, according to Goal.com Italia.

Rivas has arrived on-loan from the Nerazzurri for the duration of the season, as he faced a tough task to make the first team at the San Siro with Lucio, Cristian Chivu, Marco Materazzi, Ivan Cordoba, and Walter Samuel ahead of him in the pecking order.

Meanwhile, Mozart, who previously played for Reggina in Italy from 2000-05 has been signed on a permanent transfer from the Brazilian club.

The pair could make their Amaranto debuts this weekend against Napoli. Livorno tied 0-0 against Cagliari in round one of the league season.
