Villarreal's Ariel Ibagaza Would Be Happy To Play With Inter - Agent

Reports linking the diminutive Argentine with the Italian champions have taken his agent by surprise...
As Real Madrid's Wesley Sneijder continues to resist a move to Inter, another name, Ariel Ibagaza, has come up in the Nerazzurri's seemingly never-ending search for a trequartista.

Villarreal's Ibagaza is the latest to be connected with Jose Mourinho's side, and the idea of a transfer has taken his agent aback.

"Inter? How nice! Actually, this news has left me really surprised," Alejandro Camano told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"The player has a contract that expires in 2010, for the moment a renewal has not been talked about with Villarreal. I think he would be very happy to play in Italy, but, I repeat, I am surprised at the news."

Ibagaza, who signed a two-year contract with the Yellow Submarine last year, is believed to be some way down Jose Mourinho's list of players to fill the attacking midfield spot.

If an accord cannot be reached with Sneijder, Inter are expected to make a move for Julio Baptista of Roma. Chelsea's Deco and Bordeaux's Yoann Gourcuff are also on the Portuguese coach's shortlist.
