Former Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has compared the club's current squad to the outfit he lead to the Serie A title in 1998-99.
"The situation today is similar to the one I was experienced in the season we won the championship," he said in an interview with Goalmania.it.
"Nobody gave us any credit, only that Milan was not even [predicted to be] third place, but far worse. They must exploit the situation when they are not seen as favourites."
Nonetheless, the ex-Lazio tactician believes that the Nerazzurri will continue their domestic dominance.
"I think it will be Inter," he suggested, when asked who he believes will take home top honours in 2009-10.
Zaccheroni led the Rossoneri from 1998 to 2001 and their city-rivals Inter in the 2003-2004 campaign. He has not been employed on a bench since managing Torino in 2007.
