Roma are closing in on the signatures of Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso and Romanian international goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont.
The idea that Burdisso would move to the Lupi on loan is not a new one, but a deal is now edging closer. Meanwhile, a plethora of goalkeepers have been linked with the club, but Lobont has emerged as being the prime candidate to move to the Italian capital.
Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Burdisso has agreed to move to Roma on loan for next season, but there are a few details that are still missing between the clubs.
"We don't know anything. I can say that Burdisso is not unhappy at all with the idea of moving to Roma," agent Fernando Hidalgo announced.
"We would prefer it if it was a permanent transfer, but if the two clubs were to reach an agreement on a loan deal, I don't think that would be an insurmountable problem."
Meanwhile, Bogdan Lobont has been training with the Roma squad at Trigoria for the last few weeks, according to the same source. The 31-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in April, but he is recovering well and could be the deputy to Doni that Roma have been looking for.
