Sampdoria have been fairly active in the summer’s transfer market, having made some key acquisitions in midfield in particular with the signings of Daniele Mannini from Napoli, as well as Fernando Tissone from Atalanta.
According to the latest reports from Corriere dello Sport though, the Blucerchiati have secured yet another midfielder, a Ghanaian starlet by the name of Mohammed Rabiu Alhassan.
The 19-year-old has been acquired on a season long loan deal, and will fly to Italy early next week to meet his new team-mates.
The player is currently owned by Liberty Professionals FC in the Ghana Telecom Premier League; however he has spent the last two seasons on loan in Spain, at Gimnastic and Xerez respectively.
Standing at 187cm tall, the athletic midfielder could be a revelation if he is given the chance to excel in the Italian peninsula in the early stages of the campaign.
