Palermo have pulled off an impressive coup on the transfer market, bringing Romanian international defender Dorin Goian from Steaua Bucharest. The transfer was officialised on the Romanian club's official website.
The 28-year-old has been playing for the Romania national team since 2005, and has scored five goals for them in 27 matches. He is known for having an eye for goal, despite being a center back.
The player was signed for 2 million euros, according to Calcioblog.it, and will earn 550.000 euros per season. He had been strongly requested by new coach Walter Zenga, who had worked with him before at Steaua.
Other signings made this summer by Palermo have included goalkeeper Rubinho from Genoa, midfielder Nicolas Bertolo from Banfield and midfielder Javier Pastore from Talleres.
