Today the much awaited new Serie A schedule was released. Italian champions Inter will kick off the new campaign with a match against newly promoted Bari, and a week later will face their cross town rivals in the Milan derby.
Inter captain Javier Zanetti, who's currently with the squad in Montecarlo, where tomorrow they will play a friendly against AS Monaco, commented on the new calendar to the club's official website Inter.it.
"In the league every match is difficult to face because you never know what dangers you can encounter," he said. "We know this well, as we have shown with the results we've obtained in the last few years.
"We know the potential of our team and we know we can win against everyone, and we will always give our all against every opponent.
"The match against Milan on the second matchday? It's the first time we'll face them so early in the season. It will be a beautiful match and very tough like all derbies. In any case, we'll try to give the maximum to confirm ourselves as champions again. We want the fifth consecutive title."
