Matteo Brighi Could Join Fiorentina If He Leaves Roma - Agent

The 28-year-old continues to be associated with his former coach Cesare Prandelli and the Viola...
The agent of Roma midfielder Matteo Brighi, Vanni Puzzolo, has continued the player's flirtation with Fiorentina.

The former Chievo man has been linked with a move to the Viola as a possible replacement for Felipe Melo, who departed for Juventus.

Brighi had a breakout campaign in 2008-09, but has been disappointed that the Giallorossi did not offer him a new contract, prompting speculation he could leave the capital club.

"Florence is a very important place, if Matteo is to be sold it is the most probable destination," he explained to Violanews.it.

"I cannot say it is likely, because there are other teams that are interested in him and above all, because we do not know what Roma's plans are."

The press believe that the Italian will be one of the first players out the door as the Giallorossi may be forced to sell squad members in order to balance their books after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
