Juve and Udinese could not manage to agree on the transfer fee, so it seemed the Italian international would be forced to remain with the Friulani. However, the talented 27-year-old will now get a dream transfer after all.
Udinese have already confirmed a negotiation is ongoing, and according to FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who always has a close tab on the goings-on at Real Madrid, the transfer is close to being finalised.
"The negotiations could be completed today," he wrote on his blog Caffé Bronzetti. "The prestigious Spanish club have decided to go for the Friulani's playmaker, who had already been contacted by Juve, without coming to an agreement.
"It's certainly a very good coup for Udinese's image."
However, reports in both AS and Marca indicate that Real Madrid have decided not to follow up their interest in the D'Agostino as they find the €25m valuation of the player unrealistic.
