The negotiations between Juventus and Fiorentina for midfielder Felipe Melo seem to have stalled, but team manager Gianluca Pessotto is confident that the Brazilian international will be arriving in Turin in the near future.
"We are very close to Felipe Melo, he would certainly be a great addition," he said in an interview with Sportitalia.
Meanwhile, he also commented on the potential return to football of former Bianconeri midfielder Pavel Nedved, who may postpone his retirement to play one more season. He has been linked with several clubs, including Inter, Lazio, and a move to Major League Soccer.
"Nedved? I would regret seeing him wear another shirt," he concluded.
Pessotto played for Juventus from 1995-2006, and has continued with an administrative role at the club ever since.
