Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reminded the Italian public of his side's European glories so far this decade after the Rossoneri braintrust have come under heavy criticism in the last week.
Milan have conquered the Champions League twice since the turn of the century nine years ago while their rivals Juventus and Inter have come close, but not close enough. Galliani has now reminded everyone of his side's success as he lays down a challenge to his rivals for next season.
To rub salt into the wounds, Galliani used Jose Mourinho's 'tituli' concept which has become famous in Serie A ever since the Portuguese coach claimed Milan would win 'Zeru Tituli' last season.
"No other Italian team has won 'Tituli' in Europe in the new millennium," Galliani is quoted as saying by Goal.com Italia.
"We are the only team [to have won trophies in Europe] and we are very proud of this."
Meanwhile, Milan officially signed USA defender Oguchi Onyewu on a free transfer from Belgian side Standard Liege.
