Any hope Juventus had of rescuing stalled negotiations with Udinese for Gaetano D'Agostino have been dashed after president Giampaolo Pozzo underlined his stance once and for all.
The Turin-based side did not manage to reach an agreement with the Friulani over the midfielder, despite talks rumbling on for over a month. It now appears any potential transfer is dead.
"Juventus have taken me for a canvasser," snarled Pozzo, angrily.
"They tried to force the situation by using the player's will and I am annoyed that they have illusioned the player," Pozzo revealed to Il Messagero Veneto.
"Enough is enough now. Pre-season is upon us and D'Agostino has to think about Udinese.
"It will be difficult, but it will also be a challenge to show those who didn't want him how much he is worth."
D'Agostino had been hoping to engineer a move to the Old Lady, but it now seems as if he will be staying in Udine.
