Veteran midfielder Luis Figo announced his retirement this summer after Inter secured the 2008-09 Scudetto.
However, the player, who has enjoyed an extremely successful career even in his twilight years in Serie A, may apparently continue in England.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has speculated that the ex-Barcelona star may continue to play on. The pair met at the Sir Bobby Robson Celebrities Golf Classic IV and the ex-Portsmouth coach suggested that the 36-year-old may not hang up his boots just yet.
"I talked to him, he is a great friend of Sir Bobby Robson," he was quoted as saying by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, which has now linked him with a move to Spurs.
"We talked about his future and football and he told me nothing is definitive yet."
It remains to be seen if Figo will comment on a possible stint with the Premier League side or if it is just wishful thinking by the press.
