Lecce Interested In Roma Owned Defender Marco Andreolli - Report

Defender Marco Andreolli impressed with Italy at the Under-21 European championships and has attracted the interest of Lecce, according to tuttomercatoweb.

The player was on-loan at Serie B side Sassuolo this past season, but is owned by Roma. Lecce were relegated to Serie B after a poor campaign and see the youngster as an ideal addition to their backline.

He could be used as bait in a deal to bring Lecce centre-back Andrea Esposito to the Italian capital. The Salentini defender has already said he would be honoured to play for Roma and Lecce would gain a direct replacement if Andreolli came in the opposite direction.

Esposito has been valued at €7 million by the Salentini, but with Andreolli included that number could go down significantly. He has also attracted the attention of both Fiorentina and Juventus.
