Two of Inter's most outstanding players last season were superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic and right-back Maicon, who is considered by many to be the best player in the world in his position. Unfortunately for Inter fans, they have been the two players who have been most frequently linked with a move away from the club.
'Ibra' initially seemed close to joining Barcelona, but it seems the European Champions' interest in the Swede has faded. More recent rumours state that Real Madrid are now keen on the striker, and they are also the club said to be aiming to sign Maicon.
Marco Tronchetti Provera, a member of Inter's board of administration, is confident that both players will end up staying at the club.
"[Inter president Massimo] Moratti has said they are staying at 50%," he told Ansa.it, "and for me each day that passes this percentage increases.
"Also, Ibrahimovic has said recently he sees himself staying in Milan in the future."
It's probable that we will know more on the two players' futures by the time Inter reunite for the start of the summer training camp in two weeks' time.
