Italy U-21 Starlet Mario Balotelli Set To Start Against Germany - Report

'Super Mario' will be back in the line-up and some necessary changes will be made in midfield...
Italy face off against Germany in one of the semi-finals of the European Under-21 championship in Sweden this evening and coach Pierluigi Casiraghi looks set to make a few changes.

Inter star Mario Balotelli, who was disqualified for the 2-1 win against Belarus after picking up a red card for kicking out at an opponent in the previous match, will be reinserted into the trident attack alongside the impressive Sebastian Giovinco and Robert Acquafresca, according to La Gazetta dello Sport.

The biggest changes will come in midfield as Juventus' Claudio Marchisio is suspended and team-mate Paolo De Ceglie will miss the rest of the tournament through injury. Daniele Dessena and Antonio Candreva should step in.

Meanwhile, the defence remains unchanged with Marco Motta, Salvatore Bocchetti, Marco Andreolli, and Domenico Criscito continuing to form the back four.

Italy are considered the favourites to advance to the final, that will be held in Malmo on Monday.
