Twente Ace Marko Arnautovic Desperate To Finalise Inter Move

The Austrian hitman is eager to join the Nerazzurri this summer and play alongside his idol Ibrahimovic.
Inter were expected to complete the signing of striker Marko Arnautovic from Eredivisie side Twente several weeks ago, but much to the frustration of the player negotiations have stalled after he suffered a foot fracture.

“I feel fine now, but I could have done without this injury,” Arnautovic told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I don’t know if I will need two, three or four months and if I will return to action in August or September, but I will be at 100 per cent again.”

Arnautovic has already signed a pre-contract agreement to keep him at Inter until 2014 and, according to latest press reports in the peninsula, a deal with Twente will be finalised next Monday.

“I am waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement,” explained the Austrian international.

“I want to play for Inter in Serie A, a league that fascinates me. Inter are the best Italian team and when I heard they were interested in me, I was very happy. I don't care about offers from other teams.

“Inter are a side with so many great champions who have impressed me. It would be fantastic to have them as my team-mates.

“And [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic is not only one of the best players in the world, but also my idol. I was already fond of him when he moved from Ajax to Juventus. He is a great footballer and a nice lad.”
