Lazio President Lotito: Napoli Must Pay Up If They Want Pandev

Napoli are reportedly interested in unsettled Lazio striker Goran Pandev, but president Claudio Lotito has stated that he will cost any suitors a fair amount of money.

"I bought [Mauro] Zarate for €20 million. I don't see why [Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis] should not pay that much for Pandev," he suggested, according to Goal.com Italia.

"Napoli spent a certain amount on [Fabio] Quagliarella and Pandev, technically, has nothing less than the Italy player. I believe it is possible to begin negotiations with Napoli."

However, the Aquilotti supremo clarified that no negotiations for the 25-year-old were currently taking place.

"If someone wants something, than they must do something to make that desire become a reality. At the moment, Pandev will not go to Naples, let alone Juventus."

Pandev notched 13 goals for Lazio in all competitions in 2008-09 and has made his intention to leave Rome well known over the past couple of weeks.
