Roma Director Bruno Conti: Real Madrid Aren’t Getting Daniele De Rossi

The Giallorossi official has dismissed reports that Real have made a bid for the midfielder, insisting he will not leave the Eternal City.
According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are preparing a mega-offer for Roma and Italy midfield star Daniele De Rossi, however, technical director of the Giallorossi, Bruno Conti, has issued a stern hands-off warning.

The Lupi are in dire financial straits and are expected to sacrifice some of their top stars this summer unless negotiations between president Rosella Sensi and a Swiss-Italian conglomerate take-off over the next few weeks and lead to a takeover of the club.

Mirko Vucinic is widely expected to end up on the transfer list, however, there is now no doubt that Roma will keep hold of De Rossi, who has repeatedly pledged his future to the club.

“Nobody has called, someone just wanted to have fun,” Conti said to the Corriere dello Sport.

“What should I say? I can only add that it's no use calling, simple as that.”

De Rossi signed a new deal with the Giallorossi last summer and will stay at the club until June 2012.
