Juventus' moves for Villarreal star Giuseppe Rossi and Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra have slowed down after both clubs posed Alessio Secco challenging prices, according to Sportmediaset.it.
The Bianconeri director's mission in Spain has not gone according to plan after he was told to raise the stakes if he is to have any hopes of landing the players. Villarreal wanted around €25 million for Rossi, but the Old Lady responded with a €15m bid plus David Trezeguet - a sum total deemed to be less than sufficient by the Primera Division side. The Yellow Submarine are not keen on a cash plus player deal.
Secco was also in Madrid, where he tried to bargain with Florentino Perez over Diarra, however, Los Merengues are not interested in a loan proposition. The Spanish side are looking for around €20m for the Mali international, but Secco is not willing to stretch to that price.
Despite the early glitches, voices claim the Italian director will re-evaluate his plans and launch another offensive for both men soon.
