AC Milan continue to chase Wolfsburg starlet Edin Dzeko, but apparently already have a back up plan in place should they fail to convince the Bundesliga champions to part ways with the Bosnian striker.
The Rossoneri will then turn their attention to prolific Porto striker Lisandro Lopez, according to Goal.com Italia.
The 26-year-old has blossomed at the Estadio do Dragao over the past two seasons and helped Porto in their run to the Champions League quarterfinals in 2008-09. Overall, he bagged 16 goals in all competitions and has become a part of the Argentina national team set-up.
Vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted the Italian club are searching for a hitman in order to add some more potency to their attack, especially after selling Brazilian maestro Kaka to Real Madrid.
However, Milan may have to fight off competition from Lyon, should they decide to make a move for the Porto man.
Besides Dzeko and Lisandro, Arsenal bomber Emmanuel Adebayor has also been linked on-and-off with a move to San Siro.
