Ciro Ferrara Wants Lyon Defender Fabio Grosso At Juventus

Juventus boss Ciro Ferrara has requested that Juventus sign  Lyon and Italy international left-back Fabio Grosso, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The new Bianconeri boss would like someone with more capability and experience than either Cristian Molinaro or Paolo De Ceglie have to offer in the role.

Ferrara has been impressed with former Palermo defender since they worked together at the World Cup 2006 in Germany, when Ferrara was assistant to Azzurri coach Marcello Lippi.

However, should Juventus make a move for the 31-year-old, they will have to fend off interest from Bayern Munich, who are also following the former Inter man. Earlier reports in the day also indicated that Juventus were considering bringing back Genoa starlet Domenico Criscito.

Grosso is expected to feature for Italy in the upcoming Confederations Cup kicking off June 14 in South Africa.
